An armed assailant confronted the actor as he walked through the Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington D.C., taking his wallet, cell phone and several other personal belongings. Penn is currently working as the associate director in the White House Office of Public Engagement, but had also decided to return to Hollywood to film a third installment of the Harold and Kumar series later this summer.
