VIDEO: BMX rider Terrell breaks his leg about as hilariously as one can

According to the YouTube description, this video features a BMX rider named Terrell breaking his leg while filming a video for the Gypsy Caravan 2our BMX. And while the break is undeniably nasty, he handles it with some fine humor (and a lot of profanity, so be warned for language and gruesomeness) that makes the clip fairly unique.

Personally, I’m a big fan of how going into shock gives Terrell a euphoria similar to the most powerful of drugs. For a guy whose leg being held and flopped around looks like an old man’s defeated attempts at an erection, he’s taking things pretty well.

Vitor Meira broke two vertebrae in his back during this wreck with Rafael Matos. He is not expected to require surgery and will be out of the hospital in a couple of days. That being said, maybe he should take up bike racing since he was the fastest thing I’ve seen on two wheels in some time. Might be safer…

Oh, and congrats on Helio Castroneves on his third Indy 500 victory. Let’s hope he reports all of his earnings from this win…

Mascots are always fun with their flips and their costumes and doing silly things like, I dunno, wearing a costume and doing flips. Something about people in costumes just amuses me. Well, the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks’ mascot Bango was a part of an awesome trick shot during the NBA All-Star Game which ended in tragedy.

You see, Bango tore his ACL and will now have to undergo surgery in March (note him rolling around in pain after falling through the hoop). And usually injuries like this are gruesome and tough to watch. But because he’s in an adorable costume, it seems like fun and whimsy! A mascot could have been behind JFK’s assassination and I’d be like, “Ha ha look at him over there with his widdle sniper rifle! He’s so wacky and good at distracting me from life’s worries!”
