To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the franchise, a brand new James Bond game called 007 Legends is being prepped for later this year. And to be honest, it doesn’t look half bad.

The game covers a number of Bond’s best and most popular flicks, like Moonraker, which is good news to me since I LOVED that flick. More will be revealed as the release date approaches, which will be this October.

007 Legends is being developed by the same folks behind the GoldenEye update for the Wii, Xbox 360, and PS3, and was actually pretty damn good. Unfortunately, many fans of the original didn’t bother, due to the fact that virtually every Bond game in-between has totally sucked. Force of habit.

Though it remains to be seen if Daniel Craig will be inserted in the place of Roger Moore, like he did for Pierce Brosnan in the aforementioned remake. Would be neat.

I’ll always have a soft spot for the somewhat kitschy schemes of the Connery and Moore era, but bringing 007 back to Earth with these tales of his early days is a good move. In Skyfall, Bond’s allegiances are tested as a new enemy attacks MI6. Javier Bardem plays the main villain, which is basically a guarantee of an awesome movie. Skyfall is set to open in October.

The relationship between a movie character and their blade is an important one that speaks of strong bonds and a troubled history. So when two sword-wielding combatants meet on the battlefield you know it’s going to get up close and personal. High-tech weaponry is cool and all, but sword fights have provided some of the greatest and most intense moments in cinema. These are some of our favorites. What are yours?

9 ‘Rob Roy’

Throughout the movie, there’s a build-up of hatred toward Tim Roth’s character and compassion for Liam Neeson’s. It doesn’t lead to a wild sword fight on the edge of a cliff or in a burning citadel, but rather a cold, calculated and brutal showing in front of a private audience. The superior acting, excellent choreography and twisting of the viewer’s expectations make this a truly special sword fight. You’ll want to watch this one twice.

8 ‘Star Wars Episode I’

The best and most redeeming part of this film is the solemn, yet somewhat manic battle between the two Jedi and Darth Maul. Are they outmatched because of Darth Maul’s dual lightsaber, his superior grasp of the force, or both?

7 ‘The Princess Bride’

This is a fun and memorable fight because the two men battling are calm, cool, collected and have lots of amusing dialogue. Their constant movement through the rocky, cliff side set, periodic acrobatics and the easy flow of the fight make this fun to watch every time.

6 ‘Blade’

Just as you’re catching your breath from a crazy fight scene where Blade brutalizes an entire building full of vampires in viscerally inventive ways, this sword fight begins. The hyper-quick pace, great camerawork and charming 90s special effects make this a seriously kick ass scene.

5 ‘The Matrix Reloaded’

It’s Neo versus…everyone. The château this fight takes place in has all types of medieval weapons for everyone to go nuts with. We’re talking Sai’s, spears, swords, maces and even a frickin’ trident. The ninja-fied acrobatics and stunts, the sweet slow motion interludes, the constant destruction of the environment and the awesome assortment of weaponry keep every second interesting.

4 ‘Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back’

This is a great fight that sees the lightsaber being used to spectacular effect for the first time in cinema. The sound effects, deliberate pacing and twist at the end are what make this memorable.

3 ‘Die Another Day’

When we think of fencing, “aggressive” and “violent” are not words that come to mind, but in this Bond movie they manage to take this type of sword fighting and make it a fast, nail-biting experience that only gets better as they change from fencing to one-handed sword play.

2 ‘Kill Bill’

Here, our protagonist Beatrix Kiddo takes her Hattori Hanzo sword to the Crazy 88s club, on the long road to her revenge. The fight that ensues is one of the bloodiest and craziest in all of cinema, involving loads of talented stunt people and a level of technicality that would make any choreographer’s head spin.

1 ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’

The story goes that the actor who played the part of the swordsman had worked for months to become proficient in swordsmanship for what was to be a major fight between himself and Indiana Jones in the marketplace. But due to time constraints as well as a bout of dysentery that Harrison Ford and the crew were dealing with thanks to the local Tunisian cuisine, Harrison pulled Steven Spielberg aside to suggest doing a gag instead of an actual fight. And so, one of the best sword fights of all time was born; an instant classic that never even involved into a sword fight at all.

And here they all are. This epic infographic runs down every vehicle that 007 has ever commandeered throughout the movies, as well as cars, planes and more driven by villains, and it delivers some pretty interesting insights. Bond’s Aston Martins are here in force, of course, but we also get tanks, hot air balloons and even a Chevy Caprice. It even has predictions for Skyfall, out in October of 2012.

Watching someone play a a first person shooter with a steering wheel controller, in this case the N64 classic Goldeneye, is somewhat strange. But after a few moments, it makes total sense.

Why? Well, moving in early FPSs was pretty much like controlling a car. Not a normal vehicle, obviously, more like a bumper car. One in which you get to also shoot guns (which would make the real thing all that much better).

Too bad the same can’t be done for modern titles, in which looking and moving are clearly independent actions (as you can see above, even the limited aiming provided in GoldenEye is tricky).

But this mod could also work in Doom, Duke Nukem Forever, Quake, and similar titles from that era.

We often forget that even the most beloved games from our youth, like GoldenEye, were hardly perfect. Which is why IRL antics can help clean those rose-tinted glasses we often wear.

The N64 classic was, for many, their first taste of the wild world of first person shooting. And for its time, GoldenEye was a legitimate groundbreaker. But give a copy to someone who also don’t share those same fond memories (or your age demo) and they’ll point out the ultra simplistic environments, the constraining controls, and so on.

But it takes someone who logged in serious time back in the day to recall (and perhaps forget) the horrendous AI. Which is illustrated in the following…

Yeah, I killed Natalya a lot, back in the day. And that door jam thing resulted in a fair amount of screaming at the TV as well.

Since we crank out so many stories each week some really good ones get lost in the cracks. And since so many new people visit Guyism every day (thank you), we thought we’d take some time on the weekends and holidays to share a few classics that many of our newer readers may have missed.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

When it comes to many movies, a simple six-shooter just won’t do. Through the years, there have been plenty uniquely destructive weapons to grace the big screen. Below are eleven of the most memorable.

10 Captive Bolt Pistol – No Country For Old Men
The creepy intrigue of Javier Bardem’s character (Anton Chigurh) is amplified a thousand-fold by his choice of weaponry. While most killers might find a captive bolt pistol (typically used to stun cows before slaughter) to be too much of a pain to carry around, Anton found it to be incredibly efficient. Just the sound of that canister scraping against the ground is enough to give you goosebumps.

9 The “Little Friend” – Scarface
“Say hello to my little friend.” Given the ridiculously high frequency that this famous Scarface phrase is quoted, it would be pretty difficult to forget this memorable movie gun. In his final scene, Tony Montana whips this bad boy out and uses it to mow down dozens of people before finally being taken down himself. If you want to get technical, the gun is a M16A1 assault rifle with an underslung 39mm Smoothbore grenade launcher.

8 Proton Pack – Ghostbusters
Oh, Egon Spengler, you truly are a mastermind of weaponry. While the proton pack (a.k.a. positron collider) is designed to safely and efficiently trap ghosts for easy removal, one simple cross of the streams is all it takes to instantly explode every molecule in your body at the speed of light. While they aren’t exactly the most compact weapons, those Ghostbuster uniforms just wouldn’t look half as cool without one of these bad boys strapped to the back.

7 The Golden Gun – James Bond
Anyone who grew up playing GoldenEye on the Nintendo 64 knows the power of the Golden Gun. Featured in The Man With The Golden Gun, Francisco Scaramanga totes this gun that shoots 23-carat bullets. While there have been several memorable James Bond weapons over the years (honorable mention: Odd Job’s hat), the Golden Gun stands out for its supreme deadliness and unique design.

6 Wolverine’s Claws – X-Men Movies
Who among us has not taken three pencils between our fingers and pretended to be just as badass as Wolverine? Wolverine’s famous adamantium claws made their debut long before he ever found his way onto the big screen, but that doesn’t stop them from being supremely memorable across the X-Men movie series. Grafted directly to his skeleton, these claws are essentially indestructible.

5 Noisy Cricket – Men in Black
Sometimes, big things really do come in small packages. Initially disheartened by the sight of this tiny gun, Will Smith soon changes his tune when he takes aim and fires. With enough power to obliterate large portions of enemies, as well as knock the shooter back on his ass, this is the perfect stealth gun for the hero on the go.

4 Hattori Hanzo Sword – Kill Bill
No name carries as much weight in the world of samurai than that of Hattori Hanzo. In her epic quest to find, and subsequently kill Bill, The Bride’s journey would be far less memorable without this epic weapon. As Hattori put it himself, “I can tell you with no ego, this is my finest sword. If on your journey, you should encounter God, God will be cut.” While the sword never encounters God, it does meet O-ren Ishii… and slices her head clean off.

3 Chainsaw Hand – Evil Dead II
While the Evil Dead chainsaw made its debut in the first film, it wasn’t until Ash’s hand became possessed (and lopped off) in Evil Dead II that it eventually found its way onto his wrist. While this is clearly one of the most ridiculous weapons on this list, it makes perfect sense in the offbeat world of Evil Dead.

2 Bullwhip – Indiana Jones
As far as weapons go, the bullwhip is one of the simpler designs out there. However, that doesn’t stop Indiana Jones from routinely finding new and creative ways to make good use of this trusty weapon. Through the span of four films, Indy has managed to keep his hat on his head and his heart in his chest -– much to the thanks of that crackable whip.

1 The Lightsaber – Star Wars
It’s every fanboy’s dream to wield one of these badass weapons in real life. Ever since George Lucas introduced the lightsaber in 1977, the world has been completely enamored by its deadly glow. While replica movie weapons are not uncommon, the sheer availability of “real-world” lightsabers is testament enough that movie-goers will forever love this memorable weapon of the future.

There, there Tim. Jesus still loves you. Probably.

Last weekend, Tim Tebow’s Super Bowl dreams went up in smoke (or was that just a cold breeze coming off Tom Brady’s throwing arm?) when the Patriots pummeled the Broncos in the playoffs. The team’s loss didn’t break my heart – the Packers game the next day took on that task for this Wisconsin-born girl – but there is one thing about the Florida quarterback’s inaugural NFL season I will miss.

Tebowing.

The act of Tebowing, wherein people bow on one knee in weird places in imitation of the God-fearing QB’s prayerful posture, always made me laugh. This year, sports fans of all stripes could be found Tebowing everywhere from Mt. Rushmore to the Great Wall of China.

It got me thinking what other male celebrities’ signature moves guys could adopt. I came up with a few, after the jump. Add your own in the comments:

Rogersing: The act of immediately changing into comfortable shoes and a sweater upon arriving home. Mr. Rogers perfected this move in his beloved PBS children’s show. Personally, I’ve been Rogersing for awhile now. I add sweatpants to the mix as well, but feel free to make it your own

Bonding: Suiting up at every opportunity. No matter where M sent him, 007 was never far from a pressed shirt and gadget-concealing evening wear. Best executed with a classic one-button tuxedo with peak lapels and bow tie. Martini as accessory optional (but encouraged).

Pitting: Growing your hair out just long enough to look dashing and rakish, but styled enough that you don’t get mistaken for a dashing, rakish hobo. Mr. Angelina Jolie carries off the look with aplomb on this month’s cover of W Magazine.

Jobsing: Wearing the same outfit day in day in and day out to free up your concentration on other matters. Apple’s co-founder Steve Jobs adopted his black turtleneck and light jeans uniform so he had time to think up life-changing deviced like the Macintosh, iPod, iPhone, iPad…just think about what you could create with the extra time in your day!

Dinklaging: Being totally cool with your height, however tall or short that is. Peter Dinklage, who won Best Supporting Actor at this Sunday’s Golden Globes for his role in HBO’s Game of Thrones exemplifies this attitude of total self-acceptance (note: this move is the opposite of Cruising, named for notorious heel-wearing, height-denying Tom Cruise).

According to the New York Post, and as already noted by Kotaku, the successor to the seat once occupied by North Korea’s Dear Leader, Kim Jong-il, might be his youngest son, Kim Jong-un.

He actually has two older brothers, but there’s apparently no chance in hell in them taking over, since oldest brother Kim Jong-nam was caught ten years ago, trying to sneak into Japan, which North Korea has zero love for. And the reason: political asylum? Nope, he wanted to visit Tokyo Disneyland.

Middle son Kim Jong-chol has also been cited as being unworthy, due to him being “more interested in video games”, which Kotaku previously cited, via Wikileak. Though the real reason might be something that the Post just highlighted, and that’s how he’s apparently “too effeminate”, which is a no-no given North Korea’s rather hardline, anti-gay sentimentality.

Hence why the young one’s affinity for video games is not so bad after-all. Reports state that he’s WAY into computer games, along with James Bond flicks, plus others starring Jean-Claude Van Damme and Jackie Chan. Best part is how he’s a total basketball nut, and wanted to be a pro b-baller in the states. Given his apparent weight (he’s sorta chunky) and height (photos are scant, but he doesn’t seem very tall) means that’s a pipe dream at best.

Back to him being a gamer: one has to wonder what if he’s played Homefront, which painted Jong-un as the one who led North Korea’s invasion of the United States. As you’ll see in the game’s opener, it’s a totally different looking dude; not until very recently did anyone know what he actually looked like…

There are loads of male characters in all manner of fictional text and media. Some, though, have such innate manliness that you could practically distill and bottle it. Here’s a list of the manliest fictional characters ever to grace the page and screen.

8 Conan the Barbarian
Forget the movies. In the old novels that defined Conan’s character, he is a giant of a man with a commanding presence. He inspires scores of men who would follow him into battle at any given moment. Conan the Barbarian is a brilliant tactician, has a strict code of honor and women are drawn to him with immutable attraction. He faces monsters, magic and mayhem by day and goes drinking and wenching by night. Wenching! And to top it all off, he has all the rage and fury of his ancestors. Plus, his last name is “the Barbarian” and if that’s not manly, I don’t know what is.

7 Master Chief (of the ‘Halo’ series)
The Master Chief has no life of his own. He is the last of his kind and duty rules his actions. He relies on his Mjolnir armor, just as humanity relies on him: as a shield and protector. He carries the weight of the world on his shoulders and strives only to live another day to fight for the sake of humanity.

6 Wolverine
Nothing says warm and fuzzy like razor-sharp adamantium claws. This is a man who shows tough love or no love at all. He’s a rough, rogue of a mutant man who loves fighting, drinking and smoking big-ass cigars. Man or mutant, he easily makes the cut.

5 Indiana Jones
Indiana Jones is known for his resourcefulness, selflessness and utter luck. He’s intelligent, but fallibly human. Indy is an everyman that gets stuck in crazy situations he deals with not by brute strength or special powers, but by his sheer tenacity and clever manipulation of dangerous circumstances. And like every good man, a good woman and good friends are never far behind to help when the going gets rough.

4 Doom Guy (of the ‘Doom’ series)
The Doom Guy is manliness incarnate. His only form of communication is grunting in pain. When he cries, he cries blood. And, goddamn can that dude blast through hell spawn with a sinister level of enthusiasm and intensity. Want to make Doom Guy happy? Give him some chain gun ammo.

3 James Bond
James Bond has it all: intelligence, charm, cool confidence and a whole lot of guns and gadgets at his disposal. He is a killing machine, but he’s also a lover, falling for (and bedding) just about every beautiful woman he meets. He embodies a man’s quest for love and violence with style and aplomb.

2 Jack Bauer (of ’24′)
This is one of the most conflicted, deeply passionate characters on this list. And when I say passionate, I mean unstable. His knowledge of hand-to-hand combat is formidable, his use of guns and knives inspire awe and dread and his interrogation techniques are brutal, all in the name of protecting America. Plus, he’ll yell at you right in your face. And no one likes to be yelled at.

1 Batman
Tights aside, Batman’s altruistic form of revenge on evil-doers for the murder of his parents makes him a man’s man. He strikes fear into the hearts of his enemies, rides a thin line between psycho-vigilante and straight lawman and goes above and beyond, dedicating his life to crime fighting in the name of peace and justice.

The Bond villain has become a cultural archetype, a figure of menace who is various parts insane, dashing and ruthless. Everyone has a mental image of what the typical Bond villain is like, but why should our imaginations be confined by the world of fiction, especially when human history is full of insane madmen and vile degenerates who embody the worst (best?) qualities of a really good Bond villain? A good question. Hence, this list. Indeed, these nine historical figures all have their differences, but the one thing they all have in common is this: they would all make damn good Bond villains.

9 Nero
I suppose I could have gone with Caligula as the representative of ancient Rome on this prestigious list – after all, the dude once named his horse a Senator – but Caligula was really more of a simple degenerate, relatively beloved by his people even though he was insane. Nero, on the other hand, had more of a diabolical streak to him, even if he was just as insane. Synonymous with ruthless tyranny, Nero had his own mother and step-brother killed and probably would have spent hours torturing James Bond before poisoning him or burning him to death in his garden so he could have some light for a late night dinner party. No, really, Nero used to bring Christians to his garden just so he could burn them alive because their burning bodies provided light. After all, who the hell wants to pay for heating oil? That shit is expensive, even for a Roman Emperor. Of course, there is also the famous story of Nero playing the fiddle while Rome burned which, honestly, is just the sort of insane yet suave as hell kind of swankish dickery you’d expect from a Bond villain.

8 Lavrentiy Baria
Sure, everyone expects to see names like Stalin or Hitler on this list but really those dudes were just plain old monsters – insane, yes, but so outwardly aggressive and obvious that governments sent whole armies to stop them. Men like Lavrentiy Baria, however, the head of Stalin’s secret police, were just the sort of megalomaniacs a master spy like James Bond was sent to deal with. Baria was not only Stalin’s top henchman, which all by itself should tell you the dude didn’t mind doing some truly heinous shit, he was also the man who oversaw the development of the Soviet Atomic Bomb project and who engineered coup after coup throughout Eastern Europe following the end of World War II, placing Soviet friendly rulers in charge of places like Czechoslovakia, which in effect created the infamous Iron Curtain. And to top it all off, Baria also was heavily instrumental in the Communist victory in China, allowing Mao Ze Dong’s forces to use Soviet controlled Manchuria as a staging area for operations. But perhaps Baria’s longest lasting “gift” to mankind was his personal selection of Kim-Il Sung to be the new leader of the recently conquered North Korea. In the end, Lavrentiy Baria was a man who not only was responsible for the deaths of millions in his own home country, but he personally engineered coups and influenced events that are still causing problems to this day. His ambitions clearly went beyond the Soviet homeland. I mean, when everyone considers you to be the most dangerous and ambitious of all of Stalin’s henchmen, well… it’s pretty safe to say that you’ve earned a visit from ol’ 007.

7 Rupert Murdoch
Oh, Rupert. There’s a good chance that after writing this I will be subdued with an ether rag and then wake up in some hidden facility which shows only Fox News on a 24 hour loop, which really tells you all you need to know here, doesn’t it? I mean, come on, would it surprise anyone reading this – anyone at all? – if you learned that Rupert Murdoch had his own private installation somewhere in the Alps filled with thousands of monitors, each showing surveillance footage from a different part of the world? I can just picture Murdoch sitting in a giant leather chair, stroking a cat and hissing something like “This world vill be mine!” Don’t ask me why Rupert Murdoch has a German accent in this scenario. Just go with it. The point is, is that Rupert Murdoch seems like exactly the sort of egomaniac media mogul who would see the world as his own personal plaything, and it’s a pretty short leap from that to trying to directly control the events of that world. Now, I’m not saying that Rupert Murdoch has a giant laser beam aimed at the moon or anything, but… well, it wouldn’t shock me either.

6 Heinrich Himmler
Again, the obvious choice here would be Hitler, but for sheer insanity and cartoonish supervillainy, I’ll go with Himmler, Hitler’s right hand man. And why not? After all, not only was Himmler the architect of the Holocaust, he was also obsessed with the notion of racial purity and was the driving force behind the Nazi attempt to breed an Aryan race of Nordic Supermen. I mean, that’s basically the same motivation driving Hugo Weaving’s character in Captain America, and that dude didn’t even have a human face. But the craziest part is that Himmler wasn’t some comic book character with a dumb name like The Red Skull, he actually existed. I can just see him screaming at a legion of doctors, demanding that they perfect some weird purification serum while a giant alarm blares because James Bond has infiltrated their facility. Hell, I probably just gave George Lucas an idea for the next Indiana Jones movie so let’s just move on before I get attacked by a rabid Ewok.

5 Julian Assange
Like Rupert Murdoch, Julian Assange just seems like a Bond Villain, doesn’t he? I mean, the dude was operating out of a Cold War era nuclear bunker built into the side of a mountain, hacking the world, probably cackling maniacally the whole time with a harem of scantily dressed bimbos by his side – or roofied in a back room. And like many Bond villains, his goal was not so much world domination as it was simple anarchy, an overthrow of the prevailing order. I mean, come on, can’t you just see this dude ranting with an empty look in his eyes about why he did his thing all while James Bond lies strapped to a conveyor belt, drifting closer and closer to some deadly laser beam all while some Amazonian knife-thrower stands waiting in the corner? Look at him and tell me you don’t see that. And again, there is a good chance that thanks to writing this I will “disappear” in the next few days or end up brainwashed and singing Hare Krishna songs at the airport. I’m counting on Chris Spags to save me, Bond style, because that’s just how we roll here at Guyism.

4 Vladimir Putin
Jesus, just look at him!

3 Dr. Joseph Mengele
Dr. Mengele was so evil that he almost doesn’t even seem like a real person. He actually seems like a dude who could exist only in the world of fiction. He’s so evil that supervillains probably have his poster on their wall, like teenagers do with LeBron James and Kobe Bryant. He’s the mad scientist bent on creating a race of Supermen. He’s basically Kevin Bacon in X-Men: First Class without the mutant superpowers. When you’re so evil that they literally base a comic supervillain off of you, well… yeah, you’re really evil. Hell, Mengele might be too evil even for James Bond. You’d need Professor X or Wolverine or Jesus or somebody to stop him. Then again, Jesus probably wouldn’t want to risk getting anywhere near Mengele’s lab for, uh, obvious reasons. Dr. Joseph Mengele is almost the inspiration for the “insane scientist bent on world domination” character and so it should be no surprise that he’s on this list. I just hope James Bond isn’t afraid of getting ethered and then waking up naked on a table, his only sight a madman wielding a scalpel because there is a roughly 82% chance that’s what would happen if he tangled with the fiendish Doctor. Don’t argue with me, it’s just basic math.

2 Grigori Rasputin
First of all, look at the guy. Second, his nickname was the “Mad Monk.” Third, even though he was anti-war, it’s very, very easy to picture Rasputin behind the scenes, holding leader after leader under his thrall, using them as his own personal playthings while the world goes to hell. That’s because, honestly, that isn’t that far off from what actually happened during Rasputin’s wild life. I can just see James Bond going to investigate weird mystic events in Russia only to end up tied up in some weird sex dungeon by Rasputin and his acolytes. You might scoff at me but don’t tell me you can’t picture Rasputin stroking his beard, naked, puffing on some weird long pipe while Bond gets sexed to death by a bunch of nymphomaniac Russians with steel thighs and vacuum cleaner lips. No? That’s just me? Okay, moving on before I embarrass myself completely…

1 Mother Teresa
I know, I’m shocked too, but before you freak out, listen up, okay? We here at Guyism have recently uncovered some previously classified documents, which were given to us by an old Albanian spy disguised as a crackhead named Biscuits, and these documents reveal that Mother Teresa wasn’t just the kindly old lady she appeared to be. Oh no. Her missionary work was just a cover for the truth, which is that she was actually a spy, codenamed Muffy O’Toole, who spent years creating a secret army of street urchins so that her secret organization could one day take over the world. (The name of which was blacked out in the secret documents, but which our crack team of researchers – and by that, I of course mean that they are all on crack – believe to be none other than the Salvation Army, those fiends. I mean, come on, “Army” is right in their name.) What’s worse is that apparently whenever the good guys sent someone to stop ol’ Muffy, she would seduce them with her feminine wiles and then after naked happy fun time she would suffocate them to death by smothering them with [redacted for gross indecency.] or by drowning them in their own [redacted for gross indecency.] I know! Despicable. In the end, I think it’s clear that the only man who could stop a seductress like Mother Teresa is Agent 007 himself. That is if he could only resist her obvious womanly charms. By the way, nobody better steal this because I’m totally pitching this to the producers of the Bond films. I’m gonna be rich! Also, I’m going to hell! Hurray!

Berenice Marlohe is the latest in the long line of sexy Bond Girls as she will appear in the newest film in the James Bond series entitled Skyfall. No, really, that’s the name of the movie.Berenice follows in the footsteps of such luminaries as Olga Kurylenko, Halle Berry, Eva Green, Michelle Yeoh, Rosamund Pike, Jane Seymour, Sophie Marceau, Ursula Andress, and uh, Denise Richards. So what do we know about Ms. Marlohe? Not much. She’s French, a model, was born in 1980, is married, and was discovered by the producers after appearing on some French TV shows. Oh yes, she’s also gorgeous, which is the main reason she got this role one would assume.

Ever wanted to fly on a jetpack like James Bond in "Thunderball"? Well, here's your chance.

Remember in Thunderball when James Bond is escaping from bad guys, tosses on his jetpack and cruises away like it’s no big deal?

Yeah, you can do that too now. Except you don’t have to run away from dudes firing guns, and you’ll also have the freedom of doing so over the lovely Florida Keys.

Thanks to the folks at the aptly named Jetpack Adventures, it’s as easy as something much lamer like riding a bike, and it’ll only cost you $249.

Basically, what happens is that a 30-foot hose attached to the backpack runs to a tiny little boat which pumps seawater to use as a propellant and lets you fly around like you’re a bird or a crime-fighting, world-saving stud in a white tuxedo jacket.

The trip costs $249 and nets you 1.5 hours of total time, although the majority is apparently spent training on the equipment (this sort of thing comes with a touch of legal disclaimer, one would assume), and ends up netting consumers 30 minutes of actual “flying time.”

Presumably, the more you use the equipment, though, the longer you can fly around, like skydiving. And, besides, it’s here before the hover board so it’s hard to complain too much.

This time, folks, we have got the gadgets. And we know how to use them.

And for those that need a refresher on just how closely this resembles the Bond action, here you go:

Every guy wants to be a badass, but only a select few can. And it seems to be even harder to be a (believable) badass on film. Fortunately, Guyism has scoured the internet for video of the 20 most badass quotes from action films. You may not agree with all of them, but we think most of you will agree that most of these lines are the balls of some of your favorite action films.

And just so you know, some of the videos are NSFW…so maybe turn your speaker monitors down at work and bask in the badass.

First rule: Never invite German terrorists to your Christmas party. It should go without saying. That said, have you ever heard a guy go into a tense situation and utter this classic line? Chances are that you have or have done so yourself. It’s a quote that mixes being badass and being patriotic into one nonsensical swear. It says I will not go softly into that good night without blowing some stuff up and taking you with me. It made Bruce Willis into an action star and a movie badass for years to come.

14 Passenger 57 - John Cutter

“Always bet on black.”

You think there is a roulette dealer in the world who hasn’t heard this line on a daily basis? Do you think that every time Wesley Snipes wins in roulette, he pays taxes on those winnings. Chances are that the answer to both of those questions is “not likely.” Still, this film came out when Wesley Snipes was still one of the baddest, blackest movie stars on the planet. And it still holds water as one of the coolest lines uttered to a terrorist on film.

13 The Rock - John Mason

“Your ‘best’! Losers always whine about their best. Winners go home and f*** the prom queen.”

This quote encapsulates the real difference in winners and losers. Winners get the girl and losers release a chemical agent that will cause them to join the long list of people that “spit their guts out” in one of the most famous prison yards on the planet. Or possibly get shot to death by military terrorists. Or even get blown-up by a fleet of fighter jets. Oh, and if you fail, you’re also responsible for everyone in San Fransisco having their faces melt off. Your best? Sean Connery doesn’t want your best. Be a do-er, guy, or we’re all dead.

12 Dirty Harry - Harry Callahan

“Do I feel lucky…”

He was a cop that carried a .44 Magnum. It’s the most powerful handgun in the world. The man just destroyed an entire city block to stop a bank robbery. Clint Eastwood was already a straight badass and this line just sealed the deal. It should be put on his tombstone.

Hard to believe that a guy that once wore a feathered boa for a living could utter one of the hardest lines in action movie history. Even harder to believe that some 20 years later he’d be sitting in a governors mansion. Great line, the execution is so-so. Could have been better, but still could be a pretty awesome war cry for soldiers in battle. Obviously, spoiler alert, he gets his time to bleed later in the movie. But not a bad death for a self-proclaimed sexual Tyrannosaurus.

Let’s get down to brass tacks gentleman (this may not be a pure action movie). He wasn’t there to make friends or conversation– he was there to get you out of a jam. A debonair coffee drinker and apparently a very fast driver– Winston Wolf encapsulated the man everyone wanted to know in a jam. He thinks fast talks fast and will take you out to breakfast after disposing of your dead body. Easily the coolest character in any Tarantino film; the Wolf made it clear he wasn’t there to ask politely, he was there to save your ass.

9 The Chronicles of Riddick - Riddick

“I’ll kill you with my teacup.”

It’s kinda hard to see Vin Diesel as a badass after he did that movie where he was a nanny, but at the time, Vin was an action star and this goes down as one most unique death scenes of all-time. Yeah, sure, I’m supposed to believe the blind Mr. Clean is gonna kill me with his teacup. And he did; striking fear into interplanetary bounty hunters and British grandmas, everywhere. If you saw a man killed with tin cup, you’d certainly fear what he could do with a gun.

8 Enter the Dragon - Lee

“Never take your eyes off of your opponent…even when you bow.”

It’s awesome because it’s the greatest martial artist of all-time literally smacking some sense into a kid. His delivery is pretty sick as well– a mix of sarcasm and wisdom and “I could kill you with your own tongue before you had a chance to swallow” cynicism. Don’t think, feeeeeeeeel. If you’re too busy concentrating on something, you’ll miss the whole picture. And if you bow, I’ll send your nasal cavity into so far into your brain that you’ll need to consult a neurologist to figure if you have a nose bleed or a brain aneurysm. Bruce Lee, FTW.

7 The Dark Knight - The Joker

“Ta Da…it’s, it’s gone.”

It’s done so quickly and so mercilessly that the psychopathic nature of the Joker just punches the viewer in the throat. It sets the scene, the character, and the tone of the movie in one quick line– and it’s almost uttered as a throwaway line. It’s just as jarring even when you know it’s coming. Ta-da, you’re a badass Heath Ledger, and this line will creep out future generations with both its ferocity and merciless charm.

6 Gladiator - Maximus Decimus Meridius

“Are you not entertained?”

Really? I fought huge crazy dudes, tigers, my family got killed, you put me in this coliseum and you’re pissed cause I kicked every ass that you pitted me against? This film had a ton of badass lines in it that could have gone here, but none echo like a man who has done all that everyone has asked and then throws his sword into the viewing box of the guy who was ruined his life’s work and was responsible for his death sentence. It’s like a middle finger to all those who enjoyed the hell out of your work, but never felt the need to appreciate it. It doesn’t get any more badass than that.

5 Army of Darkness - Ash

“This is my BOOMSTICK!”

Both badass and hysterical, this line is just perfectly delivered by the always amazing Bruce Campbell. It’s as close to the perfect mix of action and comedy that a person can come across in film thanks to director Sam Raimi (yup, the guy who did the Spiderman franchise). Although men sometimes have a tendency to over-use this line from time to time, if you are ever caught off-guard by a friend who delivers this line at the right time, well, it absolutely kills (slight pun intended). Good. Bad. I’m the guy with the gun.

4 Fight Club - Tyler Durden

“It’s only after we’ve lost everything that we’re free to do anything.”

The entire movie’s plot and philosophy in one succinct line of dialogue. Most will agree that Tyler Durden probably ranks very high on the badass-est movie characters of all-time list. He looks like you wanna look, f**ks like you wanna f**k, he is free in all the ways you aren’t. He wears sunglasses indoors (would be douchey in most other cases), make his own napalm and wants to help the world get out of credit card debt. While you may not agree with the lifestyle, you have to somewhat agree with the sentiment of the line. The people with nothing to lose have everything to gain. A tragic but nonetheless badass philosophy for a society of bar codes and plastic pushers.

3 Rambo: First Blood Part II - John Rambo

“I’m coming to get YOU!”

Nothing like a bit of whacked-out Vietnam Green Beret that’s armed to the teeth with machine guns and rocket launchers to make you sleep with one eye open for a few restless nights. I mean, only a little while earlier he outsmarted a police force and the National Guard by using guerrilla warfare deep in the woods of Washington and then had a massive nervous breakdown…and somehow, you let him out of prison, put him in the woods of Vietnam (armed like a crazy person), backstab him and for some reason think that was gonna be an idea that worked out for the best? He’s a badass! Of course he’s gonna get you! He could kill you with your shoelaces! These are the last words you want to hear out of this guy!

2 Pulp Fiction - Jules Winfield

“Say what again!”

Try and think of another actor that could deliver this line with the terrifying passion that Sam Jackson did. What? Oh, I’m sorry, did I break your concentration. It’s difficult to do. Sam Jackson destroyed this scene and all because the ballistic ferocity of this line. Sam Jackson has always and will always be a first ballot hall-of-fame badass and at the induction ceremony they’ll only need to play the previous clip. Done. Sam, you’re in; I’d shake your hand but I’m kinda scared of you. You can have my Big Kahuna burger, just don’t hurt me.

1 Tombstone – Doc Holliday

“I’m your Huckleberry.”

No other actor could deliver this line with such stoic creepiness better than the eccentric Val Kilmer. Why is this on the list? Go up to the next person you see and say the line– most people will immediately know what your talking about. Say the word “Tombstone” and people will say pizza or “I’m your Huckleberry.” Say “Val Kilmer” and people will say “Huckleberry” or the worst Batman. It’s the line that made the movie. Doesn’t get more badass than that.

I know that some of you will disagree with the above quotes, so leave your favorites that we may have missed in the comments section. We want to know what you guys think is badass. Remember, these are for action movies. We’ll have other film genres a little down the line…

Truly touching. People with Parkinson’s can live a normal life, even continuing to work at the early onsets of the condition. The world needs properly mixed paint and I’ll be damned if James Bond doesn’t have the best possible martini maker around. Surgery? Perhaps not.

You know what’d be pretty cool? A battery powered knife that operates like a chainsaw that you could use as a normal household utensil/murder weapon. Chainsaws just aren’t convenient for me in my crazy 9-to-5 lifestyle and they really make my pockets look bulky. Sigh, is why I wish I had my own version of Q from the James Bond movies. He’s just make really ridiculous inventions at my ridiculous whims. “Flying hat? Talking hamburger? Right away, boss!”

Via MY TWITTER WHICH YOU SHOULD BE FOLLOWING BECAUSE I FIND AND SAY AWESOME STUFF comes this comic of the day which isn’t a comic in the traditional sense, but is extremely hilarious.

It’s kind of hard being a supervillain though. Like once when I tried to kill James Bond, I was going to just stab him in the heart but then Goldfinger was like, “What the f are you doing” and sat me down for a talk about how I had to set up an elaborate mouse trap with wires and and cages falling and down and a cougar getting loose and mauling him until his blood dripped out and a shark comes up and I just kind of stopped paying attention and realized how silly it was why I was mad at James Bond in the first place. So what if he stole the last bagel at our seminar on proper etiquette during free banquets? That’s hardly a reason to stab someone in the chest.

I guess the real point is that bagels tear people apart. I’ve read nothing on the matter but I’m pretty sure that’s why the Palestinians hate the Jews.

Since the new James Bond movie, Quantum of Solace, opened in first place in U.S. and Canadian theaters with ticket sales of $70.4 million this weekend, and I’ve pretty much covered the ladies of Quantum of Solace, the next best thing about a James Bond movie is usually the cars. And QoS is no exception as you can see from this amazing <s>Jaguar</s> Aston Martin that was featured in the flick…

With this all in mind, here are 10 of the most memorable cars in movie history (including the one from the classic Bond film, Goldfinger)…

See, it’s just kind of unfair. Like yes, Gemma Arterton looks great in this dress. She’s beautiful, has a phenomenal body, whatever. But instead of thinking about what a kickass movie this is going to be, I’m trying to use telekinesis to try to generate enough wind to blow up her cocktease of a skirt a little bit. It’s just distracting.

On the plus side, more women should dress like Vegas showgirls who work as whores on the side. It’s good for the economy. More blood sent to penises = more money spent on dates = more kids = more toys and baby food = more jobs = more Mexicans = Me buying more burritos. The system works!
