With a little under eight minutes to go, Dwyane Wade hit a three pointer to put the Miami Heat up 88-73. Celebration ensued as Wade held his pose and both him and LeBron embraced near the Mavs bench. They were clearly headed to a 2-0 commanding lead in the NBA finals.

LeBron James and Dwyane Wade combined for 46 points and the Heat defense held Dallas to a postseason low 37% shooting en route to a 92-84 win in game 1. To make matters worse for the Mavericks, Dirk Nowitzki tore a tendon on the middle finger of his non-shooting hand.

With 3:14 left in the fourth quarter, the Chicago Bulls looked in total control of Game 5 up 77-65. The Miami Heat had only made 20 field goals thus far in the game and the offense looked stagnant. This one seemed destined for a return trip to South Beach.

The much anticipated Boston Celtics-Miami Heat series started with a bang yesterday. Midway through the fourth quarter after Paul Pierce had already received a technical for a mini-headbutt of James Jones, he received his second technical and was ejected from the game.
