I saw these pics of Minka Kelly that were taken for Men’s Health magazine last week, but for some reason I wasn’t convinced that they were new. Then I realized they hadn’t appeared here yet so I decided that’s all that really matters. Unfortunately there is one drawback to seeing these sexy photos of Minka: The fact that Derek Jeter is on the disabled list and he gets to sit at home and be comforted by her… I don’t know why that bothers me, but for some reason it does… So when does her Charlie’s Angels movie come out again?

I'd buy this video if it was real...

I don’t know how many of you were able to weather the Oscars snoozefest last night and managed to stay awake for Jimmy Kimmel Live, but if you didn’t you missed Scarlett Johansson, Minka Kelly, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Sofia Vergara, Eva Longoria, Emily Blunt and Kelly Ripa in tight outfits dry-humping exercise balls. That’s right. If they had shown this for three hours instead of the Oscars it would have been such a more productive evening for all of us.

One more button unbuttoned would have just made my day...

I learned two things from this photo shoot that Minka Kelly did for the latest Self magazine: 1) Minka really wants her career to take off, and 2) Self magazine still exists. I say Minka really wants her career to take off because suddenly you can’t go on the Internet without running into pics of Minka or seeing Minka on a talk show, whereas before she hardly ever appeared on anything or did very many photo shoots at all. Trust me, I know. This is my business. I used to go months without seeing her on anything but Friday Night Lights. I’m so glad that show got canceled.

These would have been even better if it were about 30 degrees out...

There really isn’t much else to say that I didn’t say in the headline. It’s Minka Kelly in a tight little tank top, so it’s simply all good. This is quickly turning into the Year of Minka. Not because her movies or whatever she’s in are killing, but because for about four years we hardly saw her in magazines or out running around for the paparazzi and now in 2011 she’s suddenly everywhere. See? Prayers do get answered.

I’m sure you recall the recent set of photos that the geniuses over at GQ took of one of the sexiest women in the world, Minka Kelly. They were pretty great, right? Well, just wait until you see the outtakes from that shoot. Holy. Crap. I’m sure all this recent sexiness being put out there by Minka has everything to do with some new movie she has coming out also starring Leighton Meester (obligatory sexy trailer/preview here), which is nice because without Minka trying to promote something we almost never get to see her doing anything, let alone anything sexy. I hate to say that I hope this movie bombs, but if it should happen to flop maybe we’ll see her working even harder to get her name out there (i.e. nude scenes!).

If you’re in the greater NY area and have any babysitting skills whatsoever, C.C. Sabathia is in need of your services this weekend. The Yankees pitcher was at the Knicks-Timberwolves game on Monday and told a reporter that he wouldn’t be able to make teammate Nick Swisher’s wedding because he couldn’t find a babysitter for his four kids.

We can’t get a babysitter. I have four kids at home. My mother doesn’t want to come out and babysit.” Sabathia added, “We’re going to have to just send a gift.

Listen C.C., I watched Three Men and a Baby a handful of times so if you’re willing to fly me out first-class from Detroit today, and pay me like $3,000, I’m at your service. Also, I heard Derek Jeter won’t be able to make it to the wedding either, so Minka Kelly is always available too. If you have any teenage sons, I’m sure they’ll be more than thankful for that.
