When one guy wrecks his bike in the midst of a run it’s a Fail. When his opponent, with a clear shot at victory, backs him up with his own wreck, it’s gold.

In yesterday’s Interlude I made reference to 305-pound Ellenville, New York high school defensive tackle/starting quarterback Tony Casamento. Big boy is making all fatties proud by running the offense as his team makes it’s way into the playoffs. This got me to thinking about what other sports positions fat guys might be good at that you wouldn’t normally associate with those of the larger girth. So I headed to the Internet and here’s what I came up with…

Fat guys in the Tour de France?

Bad idea…

Fat guys in the X-Games?

Guess not…

How about fat ladies in the X-Games then?

Well, that wasn’t good…

Maybe skateboarding would be better…

Bad idea…

What about the Olympics Games, like, say, gymnastics?

Maybe not…

Diving?

Oops…

Let’s try that again…

Never mind…

How about fat guys swimming?

Too expensive…

Okay, how about something simple, like hiking?

Maybe fat guys should just stick to being spectators…
