But Bud Light, who already has over 2-million fans, is channeling Emeril Lagasse and kicking it up a notch. They’re offering someone a job via Facebook, and it’s a job with awesome perks and an undisclosed amount of money.

Hot off the heals of a computer desktop with somewhat sloppily Photoshop gaming paraphernalia, and a photo shoot that shows off her collection of semi-decent game related clothing is a video entitled “Jo Garcia: The Evolution of Gaming”.

I saw really hoping for some kind of sit down interview in which she explains in great detail the history of video games. But instead, it’s just a clip featuring her with assorted gaming gear, with game footage sprinkled here and there…

You know, as far as gaming retrospectives go, it’s not half bad. I dunno; going having footage of the ultra crude “test” 3D Sonic the Hedgehog from Sonic Jam, between Sonic 2 and Sonic Adventure 2, was rather impressive, showing a keen attention to detail that many similar offerings fail with.

Oh, and watching her rapidly tap the A button on a NES controller that’s between her tits is also pretty funny.

I love she’s clearly bored/out of ideas when it came to Halo. What the hell exactly is she trying to do with those 360 controllers? I also don’t understand what she’s trying to do when Dance Central comes up. Sure they needed to get some footage of her groping herself, but surely her dancing around would have been equally sexy.

But yeah… I’m starting to actually believe that her “I’m a gamer!” shtick is somewhat legit! There’s like a 30% chance… which is far more than before. Good job Jo! Or the guy who actually put the video together.

Since I’m a bit backed up, how about a smattering of random game related pics from the past few days?

Apologizes for the lack of video game coverage for the past couple of days; was at PAX Prime, which completely knocked my ass out, plus I got the nerd flu, which is par for the course for such things (being on West Coast time has also thrown out of my game). Anyhow, expect a steady stream of show related posts over the next few days.

Though I’m still trying to gather my notes, so till then, how about some odds and ends that went down during? Like Jo Garcia, who recently posted a wallpaper of her, covered in assorted game related paraphernalia?

… Hate to nitpick, but the Photoshop artist could have maybe tried a little bit harder. I’m pretty sure Google Images is able to pull up something else other than the box to Ocarina of Time. Anyhow, multiple sizes are available here.

Moving on, and I totally forgot to mention it at the time: last week was the Super Nintendo’s 20-year birthday! Which prompted all sorts of celebratory retrospectives and the such. Instead of whipping up my own, since I’m way behind schedule as is (plus the bottom-line would be: sorry, but the Genesis was better), I’ll just post one of fave from someplace else, which are assorted SNES titles redone as classy Criterion Collection releases…

It’s the day many have been waiting for; the bad boy of fighters is ready to make its long-awaited (and highly publicized) comeback. Along with the new game (which comes out today) is the biggest flurry of MK goodness to date.

First off, here we have the latest installment of Mortal Kombat: Legacy, that new live-action web series…

And it’s… all right. Rather slow like the first one; it feels odd to complain that there’s too much fighting when it’s based upon a fighting game. But then again, it doesn’t have much of what the game is known for, which is ridiculously over the top, and bloody as hell antics. Though near the end, we finally get a taste of gore, plus does a decent job of setting up the characters. I just hope to God next episode features Sub Zero or Scorpion, otherwise I will officially throw in the towel.

Moving on, no doubt most of you are familiar with the 300 or so trailers that have been produced to advertise the new Mortal Kombat’s release. So much so that I personally have not been able to keep up (hence why they have yet to pop up here). Till now, since the latest is perhaps the most relevant to this particular neck of the woods; check out Playboy’s Jo Garcia and UFC Octagon girl Brittney Palmer face off in the new game, and kinda dressed as Mileena and Kitana…

… Sorry, but something tells me that the stuff we saw on screen is not what the girls were doing with the controllers. Back to the aforementioned to the game’s duo that everyone actually cares about, and on a totally different note, comes the ability to somewhat appear as Sub Zero and Scorpion in the flesh, plus keep warm at the same time…

… There’s also one that’s a weird hybrid of MK ninja and Iron Man that looks somewhat novel.

Last but not least we have the game itself. Now, as excited as I am to get my hands on the latest game, especially since it’s going back to it’s roots (aka MK1-3, which was when the series was still mostly excellent), I know I’ll suck at it as much as back in the day. Been playing Mortal Kombat for the past almost 20 years (Jesus) and have yet to pull off a single fatality! Thankfully this latest iteration also provides a host of distractions from the main game to sink one’s teeth into…

Though I have yet to pick up my copy. I’m still miffed that there’s all these different versions depending on which retail outlet you buy from. I want both the classic Sub Zero and classic Scorpion damn-it, not just one. Hopefully they’ll become available as DLC, cuz I also refuse to do business with either Gamestop or Best Buy.
