Politicians typically do what they can to keep their hands clean; it’s surprisingly easy to catch a cold or flu when shaking hands with hundreds of people, some of whom may have questionable hygiene. But this video clip of President George W. Bush sneakily wiping his hand off on President Clinton’s shirt immediately after shaking the hands of Haitians probably doesn’t reflect too well on him.

This may sound bad, and I really don’t want to take the side of a President who so proficiently sucked balls, but the people he was shaking hands with may very well have been a bit gross. And you can’t really blame them after going through this massive ordeal in their country. I mean, if several massive earthquakes hit me, there’s a decent chance I’d be covered in all of my body fluids as well as the fluids of anyone nearby. I barely want to shake people’s hands now, and I’m not nearly as hand-shaky as a former President. You just don’t know when someone’s been beating off or scratching ass.

I’d say, if anything, we should salute President Bush’s slickness (albeit perhaps not his subtle racism). Though I have to question the logic of attempting to clean your hands on President Clinton. Seems like you’d get way worse fluids off him than an army of Haitian people.
