It’s fun in the water for these amazing animals who love to swim at their owner’s outdoor pool.

Measuring over two metres in length and weighing 200lb, these one-year-old tigers are having the time of their lives.

Reaching for their human playmates with their giant paws, they dive, splash and even swim – in the same pool.

Together with their handlers, Moksha Bybee and Ragani Ferrante, tigers Balavan, Bali, and Oden display unusually close interaction between man and beast.

Animal expert Dr Bhagavan Antle has taught these amazing creatures to swim as part of an enrichment programme at his animal park in Miami.

‘Tigers have a natural desire and ability to swim, exceeding that of all the other big cats,’ said Dr Antle.

You must be pretty brave to go to a tiger, “Hey, I’m going to make you think I’m drowning you, but it’s all in good fun.” You might as well be a hot chick going into a frat party with a t-shirt that says “I Can’t Taste Roofies”. Sure, it might turn out okay, but the odds are you’re going to end up unconscious, disheveled, and bleeding profusely from some hole in your body.

Detroit Pro Teams this Week: 7-0
Series Won:3 (Yankees, Sixers, Avs)

Tigers: Capped off a series sweep against the Yankees with a mix of good offense and timely pitching. Good to see Miguel Cabrera actually drive the ball with power yesterday.

Red Wings: To prove how good the Wings are playing, if they were to name a Conn Smythe right now, Lidstrom, Hank, Datsyuk, and Osgood would all be distant seconds to Johan Franzen. 11 goals in 10 games and two hat tricks in the same series…incredible.

Pistons: Some will say they woke up from their slumber. But I’m not convinced yet. A better team would have defeated the Pistons. If they decide to take games off again, the Magic will take advantage.

A lot of people will point to the Jim Leyland rant as a turning point in the season. Personally, I’ll point to the TimmyG rant on Monday as the mitigating factor. The Tigers for the first time this season won two games in a row. And finally, the bats seem to be coming around. The only worry right now is the play of Placido Polanco who is struggling so bad that the Tigers may have to move him down in the order.

DETROIT PISTONS

The Pistons capped off a successful season by beating the Minnesota Timberwolves. They will face the very hot Philadelphia 76ers starting this Sunday. This is a series the Pistons will obviously win but don’t be completely shocked if they lose one of the first two games at home.

DETROIT RED WINGS

A miserable ending the other night has put the Red Wings in an important game 3. The Predators have not been the better team in the series but have used quick back to back goals to scare the Wings. If Hasek plays poorly tonight, Coach Mike Babcock may elect to go with Chris Osgood at the Joe.

DETROIT LIONS

Really, who cares about these jokers. The NFL Schedule came out and you know what my prediction is…..0-16. And yes, I’m serious.

Detroit Tigers

Their lineup is scary and their starting pitching is solid 1-5. The biggest concern with this team is their bullpen. And while everybody complains about Todd Jones, it might be the innings leading up to him that spell doom and gloom for the Tigers. With Zumaya on the mend, Fernando Rodney is the only guy their who can make guys swing and miss.
But still, if this team stays healthy, they have a very strong chance of making the World Series:

Detroit Pistons

The Pistons are playing as well as they have in years. And its not only the starters that are contributing. They are getting solid minutes from two rookies and forward Amir Johnson. When you figure in that the Pistons may not play a solid team in the East until the Conference Finals, you have to love their chances. The only team standing in their way, the Boston Celtics. A clash of Boston-Detroit in a 7 game series would be epic.

Michigan State Spartans

This team has struggled in Big Ten play and may end up with a crappy seed because of it. They lay eggs on the road on a weekly basis. Is it possible that the Big Ten teams just know Tom Izzo too well? Perhaps, but there aren’t that many teams around the nation that can out coach Izzo in March. To get to the Final Four, this team will have to beat two very good opponents and not falter against a solid one. Can they do it? Would you bet against them?

Detroit Red Wings

Every Red Wings fan started praying to the high heavens when Nick Lidstrom limped off the ice. Without Nick, the Wings may as well pack up their bags and call it a season. But it looks like he will be “alright” after a week or two. Still, this team is in need of another defensemen. Last year, another healthy solid defenseman gets them into the Stanley Cup finals. You can’t put your trust in oft-injured Nikolas Kronwall or an aging Chris Chelios. The goalie situation is tenuous at best. The training staff is using duct tape to hold Hasek’s legs together and Ozzie seems more than content after signing that contract.

A trip to the Cup finals will probably mean going through Dallas or Anaheim.
