A bit marauding for a kids’ show, for sure. But the addition of an enslaved rat to the act really added a lot to me. More performances need creatures lower on the food chain forced to perform to accentuate the show. It’s show business, people.

Someone needs to launch a Louis CK-esque campaign to get more of this fictionalized show done for incremental revenue. I don’t care that I’ve seen both shows far too many times, that mutated frog vomiting in the place of Jane from Breaking Bad‘s season two is one of top five most brilliant things I’ve ever seen online. I need it inside of me.

I’ve mentioned Sony’s new set once before. As also previously noted, it’s quite nice! The fact that one person can watch one thing, or play a game to be exact, which the other person enjoys something entire different is still a modern miracle. Oh, and if both parties chooses to view the same thing, they can possibly do so in 3D (as well as not argue about who will have the audio feed that particular time).

Yes, it’s a bit on the small side, but that comes with the breaks with such technology that also won’t put you completely in the poor house, hence why the special deal on the system being even better in that regards. Though one also needs to remember that each pair costs $70, so that savings for the PS3 might be gobble dup real quick.

The small size is also due to the fact that it’s intended for college dorms, and we all know the one thing about college students: they are generally dirt poor.

I’m probably breaking lots of new ground here by saying that, other than Louis CK, Ricky Gervais is probably the funniest man alive. Getting Liam Neeson to make AIDS jokes in a show about a midget? You’ve got to be genius to accomplish that.

As someone who has spent a great deal of time analyzing Alison Brie, it definitely took a couple glances to tell the difference. I mean, you could certainly rub one out to either in a pinch. But still.

The answer? The right picture would be the sweet jubblies of Ms. Brie while the left would be the well-toned glutes of Msgr. McHale.

SPOILER ALERT: The bet was based on the plot in episode 12 of season four of the show, in which it’s unclear who poisoned a little boy, Bryan Cranston’s Walter White character or drug czar Gus Fring. Many astute watchers realized right away who did the deed, but poor PagingCraig was so confident that it wasn’t Walter that he said he’d drink his own pee if it turned out he was the poisoner. And here we are.

You can call a lot of shows brilliant, captivating, and make it a point to convert others into watchers. But name me one other show that’s led to a husky gentleman drinking his own urine out of a beer glass? I DEFY YOU. ALL HAIL BREAKING BAD!

Is he the jovial owner of beloved fried chicken eatery Los Pollos Hermanos? Or the biggest drug kingpin of the southwest? This video shows us that the truth probably lies somewhere in between.

According to Hurwitz, if the crew were to do a film, a significant portion of the project would have been reintroducing characters and informing of viewers of the characters’ individual story arcs since the show left the air in 2006.

The result: An Arrested Development movie will be preceded by nine or ten original episodes, each centered upon an individual character. Entertainment Weekly featured Hurwitz’s in-depth explanation:

Hurwitz then unveiled his very unconventional plan. “We’re basically hoping to do nine or 10 episodes with almost one character per episode, where like the first episode will just be Buster. We’re kinda picturing it like, um, well the latest joke we have is that, you know, it’s Cambridge, Massachusetts and there’s all these scientists in lab coats and they’re waiting for somebody and Buster comes through the door wearing a lab quote and says `let’s begin,’ and they say, `you don’t get to wear the lab coat, we’re experimenting on you. [garbled] And then we go through his life and we meet the people in his life and maybe he goes to see his therapist who he’s getting a good rate on because it’s Tobias and he’s lost his license. We can do cross overs and things like that. But it’s an unusual style of show I think and we get him to a certain point of peril in his life and then maybe we jump over to like Maeby and she’s living with Cornel West … We’ll do this kind of thing that builds the peril in their lives until they all come together.”

It’s rumored that the top “networks” in consideration for the mini-season are Showtime and, somewhat surprisingly, Netflix. Netflix has begun making forays into original programming with a new miniseries from Kevin Spacey called “House of Cards.” Coincidentally, Netflix is also a credited force for an increased interest in Arrested Development; the show has been one of Netflix’s more popular offerings in its “Instant” category since being made available on the streaming service.

Regardless of how the production comes about, Hurwitz and co. expect to go back into production in the summer of 2012 with early 2013 being targeted for the show’s return to TV. Both Jason Bateman and Will Arnett tweeted that, due to the structure of the mini-season focusing on one character per episode, there won’t be any major conflicts in scheduling with their other projects.

Even crazier than the fact that Andy Rooney has done 1,097 episodes of 60 Minutes or that he’s been on the show since its inception in 1968 is that Andy Rooney is 92 years old. NINETY TWO! It’s easy to make fun of Andy Rooney’s doddering borderline senility and meandering ramblings, but Jesus, at 92, it’s a wonder he’s not just a pile of dust in a jar somewhere.

So here’s to you, Andy Rooney. You may have been irrelevant before I was bored, but you’re definitely a dude who did something for a long period of time.

Rooney’s final segment on 60 Minutes will air nationally this Sunday on CBS.

The show calls Chelsea a “new type of heroine”. I hope that’s a type that means they should be calling for a new type of heroin and immediately injecting it into her in the hopes it gives her the “meth hot” fashion finds so trendy right now.

In all seriousness though, good for her. Whether or not she makes it or not, at least she’s actually moving to LA and trying to chase her dream.

But in even more seriousness, I could not have laughed harder at anything in the world than at the part at 2:04 in which Chelsea declares “Life hasn’t been a cake walk for me.” I mean, come on. Don’t make it that easy.

Forced punchlines, overly sassy female characters, and really dated pop culture references are really the equivalent of the sitcom genre being put on the pinball machine like Jodie Foster in The Accused. I felt like I got every single moment the show would ever have from that four minute clip and a little piece of me will never return. Then again, maybe because the sitcom is based in Brooklyn, the show itself is actually a hipster, aspiring to be too cool for “originality” and “laughter”.

Either way, Kat Dennings could text me naked photos of herself (noteworthy NSFW reference point!) every time an episode was on and I still wouldn’t watch.

Regardless of whether or not you care about two comedians hashing out problems without great global importance (itchy asshole joke theft questions being resolved probably won’t feed people in Africa, I’m aware), it’s a pretty captivating scene.

It helps that I’ve never totally understood the Dane Cook hate. Sure, he’s appealing to women but dude’s pretty funny. His “jerking off in the basement humming the Super Mario theme” bit is something every guy should appreciate.

That trailer was tough to watch. I mean it seems like an improvement on season three’s Sammi and Ronnie Domestic Violence Hour, but it’s like watching your parents get a divorce. While also disgracing just about everyone whose name ends in a vowel. Somewhere, a monkey working an accordion is crying.

Oh, I get it. You hit the zombies with the rock, not just give it to them and wait for it to detonate. It all makes sense to me now. My lack of sedimentary knowledge and proper handling of the recently deceased has failed me for the last time.

As you may have seen at the end of the clip, Season 2 of “The Walking Dead” hits this October.

There’s been a lot of backlash against people complaining about Netflix (“White whine” and whatnot) but here’s the thing: Netflix is randomly jacking up their prices.

Being able to get movies and television shows mailed to my house AND stream them over my Blu-Ray player might make me a spoiled member of the new generation. In fact,  it almost certainly does.

But that doesn’t mean I have to like it when Netflix — a gigantic corporation, people! — raises the price for this service by “only” $10 more per month.

That’s just an awesome all-around performance. I bet even Teller wanted to yell out, “DAMN SON YOU HILARIOUS!” I don’t know why I imagine Teller would speak like a black family enjoying a sight gag during this weekend’s showings of “Transformers 3″, but it just works for me.

As far as dragons doing magic tricks with a chihuahua also dressed like a dragon, this dude cannot be topped.

Oprah’s been desperate to push the ratings up for her recently launched OWN network and the proposed live sit-down interview would be a massive coup for the channel.

The National Enquirer says that Oprah has been buttering up OJ for the idea over the last year and, though OJ loves Oprah, he’s been reluctant to come clean.

The Daily Mail reports that an insider said, “He told the producer: ‘Tell Oprah that yes, I did it. I killed Nicole, but it was in self-defence. She pulled a knife on me and I had to defend myself.’”

According to OJ, the incident was the final straw in a series of betrayals against him including Nicole berating him at a restaurant in front of their kids and routinely sleeping with random men at their former home.

Details are still pending about potential air dates for the unconfirmed special.

Thank God this great mystery hanging over our heads will finally be solved. How did we go almost two decades with no hint of the truth? I mean sure there was DNA and evidence and even a book that described in graphic detail how OJ killed her but was posed as a hypothetical. And the fact that his search for the real killers was about as thorough as when I tell my dog, “Go get your ball” and she can’t find it after five seconds and gives up and lies down. How could we know he did it? I’m floored. I hope Oprah gets to the bottom of other pressing issues like, “Is the sun hot?” and “If I stab myself in the eye, will it not leak gummy bears and licorice?” The latter a bit more esoteric, but I’d like to know.

I liked Hank Hill in that clip far more than I did in any other episode of “King of the Hill”. That show was always insipidly overrated to me. We get it, Hank. You love propane.

Plus I watched that show for years and it never told me that propane tanks are primarily sold without propane in them. What the shit is that? If you’re not going to make me laugh, at least educate my naive city self on how propane works. Dicks.
