Street artist Combo, who previously rampaged through Paris wheatpasting up murals that combined trenchant political commentary with Disney characters, traveled to the blasted-out wasteland of Chernobyl to create art on the walls there. Naturally, he decided to pay tribute to America’s favorite nuclear family with this note-perfect Simpsons piece. The reactor overload in 1986 is still considered to be the worst nuclear accident in history, and the Exclusion Zone around the area is a haunted, bizarre wilderness. I want to go there!

A New Zealand radio station is holding a contest in which one lucky listener can win a trip to Ukraine and, also, a bride. Naturally, the feminists in Ukraine are none too happy. So they’re protesting the best way they know how…by taking off their shirts and bringing it to the streets.

Nine Ukrainian women representing an organization called the FEMEN Movement went topless in the frigid Kiev weather to show their disgust with New Zealand radio station The Rock FM’s “Win a Trip To Beautiful Ukraine for 12 Nights and Meet Eastern European Hot Lady Who Maybe One Day You Marry” contest.

The women wielded signs reading “Welcome to Hell” and “Ukraine Is Not a Brothel” to illustrate how the women of Ukraine are infuriating by their perception both within their country and abroad.

The contest was created in conjunction with a New Zealand company called the “Endless Love Agency”, whose Web site claims will set bachelors up with “beautiful genuine Ukraine ladies looking for love and marriage with Kiwi men”.

One of Femen’s organizers told CNN that the baring of breasts “is the only effective way to protest.”

According to AOL News, the winner of the contest is a man who goes by the name “Greg the Winemaker”. He won the contest after telling the radio station why his ineffectiveness in pleasing a woman made him uniquely qualified to win the prize.

The women’s organization has previously made headlines for their protest of Vladimir Putin.

Good for these women. Nudity is apparently illegal in public in Ukraine, so that’s partially why they’ve been so successful in drumming up attention. Well, that and the fact that their protesters look like that woman pictured above, left. I don’t want to be a sexist pig or anything, but that girl could espouse the benefits of my being stabbed in the face multiple times while cleaning a knife and I’d probably sit there and go, “Hmm, you have very valid points and I would like to subscribe to your newsletter.”
