10 year-old boys steal Pokemon cards at knifepoint
Chris Spags Somebody was taking the “Gotta catch ‘em all” tagline a little too seriously, it seems: A group of three 10 year-olds robbed and beat down a nine year-old girl for her Pokemon cards. Somewhere Pikachu is taking another sip from his glass of brandy on the rocks, shaking his head silently.
Two 10-year-old boys robbed a nine-year-old girl at knifepoint for her Pokemon cards, according to a newspaper report.
The crime happened at a neighborhood playground, in the sandbox.
Police in the Swedish town of Partille say the miniature thugs also kicked the girl and hit her in the face to get her collection of Japanese cartoon trading cards.
A woman watching from her balcony thought it was just a scuffle between children, but the girl’s mother says the event was actually much more serious.
When reached for comment, the woman watching from her balcony said, “Oh you kids and your horseplay! I remember when I was a child and we used to play, ‘Threaten to stab the girl then kick her in the face’ too! Fun times!”
Jesus Christ kids, if you’re going to commit a serious robbery with a deadly weapon, at least aim for something more timely. You just look silly if you’re going to kidnap someone for their Pogs or pistolwhip them for their Beanie Babies.
