SALEM, Ore. (AP) – Deputy Dave Wagner had just finished booking a suspect at the Marion County jail Tuesday when he heard a radio report that a stolen pickup truck had been spotted in northeast Salem. He decided to check it out. He didn’t go far. In the jail’s parking lot, two women were in the stolen 1984 Toyota truck. They had come to the jail to visit a boyfriend. Deputies say the women had 21 grams of methamphetamine, scales and packaging material in the truck along with them. Police said the two Salem women, 24 and 25, were booked there on charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Drug charges are impending. —————- So let me get this straight. You stole a truck, brought your Meth into said truck and then went to the local jail to visit your boyfriend? I realize the two of you probably did not graduate at the top of your class in high school, but at some point, one of you must have wondered if this was such a good idea.
