FORMER SPARTAN GREAT BRAD VAN PELT PASSES AWAY

Brad Van Pelt, a three sport star at MSU and NFL great passed away of a heart attack Tuesday in California.
Van Pelt once pulled down an amazing 42 rebounds in a high school basketball game for a Michigan state record.
While working at the Breslin Center in the early 2000s, I saw Van Pelt, who at that time was in his 50s completely outwork much younger players in a “old-timer” MSU alum game.
It was a sight to see.
