IOWA FANS REALLY LOVE THEIR BASKETBALL PROGRAM

No doubt everybody is squeezing their wallet just a little more in these tough economic times. And that goes for college students who mooch off their parents to the tune of several thousand bucks a year in beer and porn.
Ok, maybe not the porn, cause you can get that free on the internet.
Or so I heard.
Anyways, apparently the students are so poor at the University of Iowa that the school is giving away tickets to their basketball games.
And not just a few hundred.
A whopping 2000 tickets.
Nothing says we care more about the direction of the program and instilling confidence in new coach Todd Lickliter than giving away free tickets to an arena that has barely been half-full this season.
Or is it half-empty?
The way Iowa plays basketball, I would lean towards the latter.
