Apparently, the USA soccer team owns Mexico to the tune of 9-0-2 on U.S. soil in their last 11 meetings. Trust me, I didn’t know that one off the top of my head. I had to look it up.
And Mexico isn’t taking these losses lightly. After losing yet another game last night 2-0, Mexico assistant coach Paco Ramirez decided to just start slapping random players.
His target was Frankie Hejduk….
The way Hejduk tells it, Paco Ramirez took exception to his post-match celebrations. He said: “I was just trying to pump the crowd up. I was actually saying, ‘F*** yeah!’ I think they thought I was saying, ‘F*** you.’ It was a misunderstanding and I can see why they would be a little bit upset if they thought I was saying the other one, which I wasn’t.
