Mr. Brain needs some help naming his food

Sure this is completely juvenile, but come on, really? For background, there is a type of meatball in the UK which is made of pork, liver, and other pig parts mixed with liver which has a somewhat unfortunate name. And Mr. Brains brought that to the mainstream. Check out this 1994 ad after the jump.

Yes, this is real. I get that things are named differently in the US than they are in the UK. That’s fine. But there’s no way the creator of this commercial didn’t get the double entendre when he said that his “Faggot” looks like Uncle Roy. I have never met a meat product and thought, “Wow, this totally looks like a human being I know.” Other than my pal ol’ Hamburger Tom. Not his fault a large anvil fell on him during his youth.

I think other meatball companies should have been more aggressive in counterprogramming against this commercial. “Mum, I’m so sick of Mr. Brain’s Faggots. They taste like bleach and parental shame.”
