Naked man wants to MMA fight

Mixed Martial Arts are growing exponentially in popularity each year so it’s no surprise that people want to get involved. Though doing it in the nude seems a bit odd.

Officers with the Covington Police Department arrested a nude man looking for a fight Sunday at the Wal-Mart on Industrial Boulevard.

According to the incident report, Jeffrey Pickett said he wanted to be a mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter and was looking for someone to battle. MMA fighters utilize martial arts techniques from several disciplines during combat.

Pickett said he wanted to practice his tap outs, which is used by a fighter to signal he no longer wishes to continue fighting. The move is usually done once an opponent had been forced into submission.

Pickett, who undressed in parking lot, said he knew he could find someone to fight with if he were nude.

I mean, in ancient Greece, the original wrestlers used to wrestle completely in the nude so this isn’t as crazy as it sounds. Granted, they also blew each other afterwards amidst a massive orgy of hot, sweaty men, so maybe that’d be slightly inappropriate in a Wal-Mart parking lot. Unless that was on sale.

Mixed Martial Arts would probably be a lot easier though if you were naked. I’d probably just squeeze the guy’s genitals. Little did I know that seeing my mom with her boyfriends as a child was actually helping me train for MMA. She’s the greatest sensei of all, often thwarting multiple opponents at a time!
