Some dude got stupid drunk, fell, and hurt himself. So his logical response? Sue the bartender at the hotel bar who continued to serve him like he requested. Smart.

“Although it took more alcoholic beverages than would be expected for someone of his size and weight, Michael Fenton became openly and obviously intoxicated,” the lawsuit says. “The bartender continued to serve Michael Fenton even after he was obviously intoxicated.”

Fenton’s family became concerned and told the bartender to stop serving him, the lawsuit says, and Fenton returned to his room after the bartender refused him more drinks. But the next day, the lawsuit says, he went to the bar and was again served a substantial number of drinks and drank most of the day into the evening.

“The bartender continued serving him even though he was visibly intoxicated,” the lawsuit says. “Family members found Michael Fenton in the bar that evening and requested the bartender to stop serving him. The bartender ignored the request and continued serving him.”
