WAG-OFF: USA WAGs vs EUROPEAN WAGs

The other day I noticed something. Sites such as this one you are currently reading, With Leather, flatusyahu and others of that ilk are always posting pictures of European WAGs, many times in scant or no clothing. It seemed to me that we spend an inordinate amount of talking about and looking at these ladies. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but what about the American WAGs? We do posts on American WAGs. I have done 34 posts on Jessica Simpson alone, but because we don’t very often refer to them as WAGs it seems as though the American girls don’t get nearly as much love. Something I myself am guilty of propagating (look it up).

After letting those thoughts noodle around in my empty head for a couple of minutes, I fired off a quick email to my friends over at The Spoiler. The Spoiler is a UK-based Web site with a WAG of the Day feature that currently stands at 131 WAGs. In my email I explained what I was thinking and challenged them to a WAG-OFF — a Ryder Cup-style tournament of 20 women, 10 each from both the USA and Europe. With that virtual glove slap to the face, the boys at The Spoiler accepted my challenge and now it… is… on.

Beginning tomorrow and running each weekday for the next two weeks one American WAG will face-off with a European counterpart for world WAG supremacy. The deciding factors? Your votes. We will be running daily polls on both sites so as to not encounter any xenophobic biases, but hey, you know where your allegiance lies, don’t you?
