WDFN 1130AM IN DETROIT IS DONE

Rumors have been circulating for awhile that Clear Channel would be clearing house in a couple of cities.

And now it looks like one of the victims may be 1130 the Fan in Detroit.

By way of email, Guyism received news that at 3pm today, 1130 would be all syndicated.

Should be noted that the normal morning person Matt Shepherd was not on this morning and replaced with Rob Otto.

Jeff Meade of the Monroe news also has gotten the same info

Rumor has it that WDFN in Detroit (1130-AM) will go all-syndication and remove all local programming as part of Clear Channel’s cost-cutting. An announcement could come as early as today.

I placed several calls into WDFN and was redirected to a Lisa Dollinger, chief communications director for Clear Channel.

As of now, those calls have not been returned.

Any more info will be posted in the next few hours.

Fox Sports Radio with Chris Meyers replaced Stoney and Wojo, the normal local show at 3pm
