EMU "Wrong Place at Wrong Time": Hung jury in EMU murder trial

This story is both disgusting and perplexing.

Dickinson’s body was found in her Hill Hall dorm room Dec. 15. Prosecutors said Taylor had sneaked into her room two days earlier and sexually assaulted and strangled or smothered her to death. But defense attorneys argued that Taylor had gone into Dickinson’s room, found her dead from a heart failure, and masturbated.

Defense attorney Alvin Keel, in closing arguments Friday, acknowledged Taylor was in Dickinson’s room the night she died, but said he found her dead and then he masturbated.

“It might be, in street vernacular. somewhat freaky. Yes, it is. But does it make you guilty of murder? No, it does not,” Keel said.

Keel further argued there was no proof of struggle, no one heard screaming, and the medical examiner later was unable to pinpoint a cause of death. Keel suggests Dickinson died of a heart condition.

So this guy came across a dead body and instead of, I dont know, calling the police, he decides to masturbate on the body.

At this point, Im not sure I care what he goes to jail for, as long as he is in jail.

Do you seriously want this guy walking around the streets?
