Once a member of the Wu Tang Clan, now a spokesperson for a Sour Patch Kids video game

As if anyone needs further evidence of how the mighty hip hop dynasty has fallen, in the wake of Old Dirty Bastard’s death, this is it.

Actually, maybe I’m being too hard on Method Man. It also doesn’t help that I have little affinity for him and his crew, with the exception of ODB, and it sure as hell wasn’t because of his music (even though I’m a New Yorker, I’ll still have a preference for the rap I grew up with, on the west coast). Anyhow, there are surely worse ways to sell out…

The game itself is called World Gone Sour and is for the PC, PSN, and XBLA. It’s about some Sour Patch Kid that gets loose from a bag at a movie theater’s concession stand and who frolics around the real world. Screenshots can be found over at Capcom Unity, and truth be told, it doesn’t look half bad, for one it is. Which is basically a shameless, interactive commercial for junk food.

But hey, those Burger King games were somewhat decent as well (it certainly helped that they cost only $5 a pop, and novelty of buying a video game at a fast food joint certainly helped). Also, Creed Bratton from The Office is somehow involved. I think he also raps in the game, not sure… the other day, I saw someone’s post, via my Facebook feed, that was along the lines of “blah, blah, blah from The Office rapping, MUST SEE!” but didn’t bother since I find the American show to be vastly inferior to the British one. Yes, after all this time; I’m one of those a**holes, still.
