VIDEO: Call of the Dead, the star-studded, zombie-killing spectacular

Rarely does something that sounds so straight from a fantasy game thread from some uber geeky message board become so vividly realized. Get ready for the ultimate anti-zombie dream-team, starring Danny Trejo, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Robert Englund, & Michael Rooker.

Also, guest starring the godfather of zombie flick, George Romero…

Some might call the above a brilliant love letter to the genre of horror action and the icons that have driven it forward on both the big and smalls screens. Others might call it yet another nauseating display of Activision’s checkbook, featuring personalities that are desperate to stay relevant.

To be honest, it’s a little of both. Hey, I’m a dude who could give a rat’s ass about any Call of Duty games before this one, so the fact that I’m all of a sudden very interested is something in my book!

Then again… it’s not a stand-alone title, but Escalation DLC for Black Ops, which I guess I have to own before diving into this (which is ultimately just a portion of a map pack, so now idea of big the zombie mayhem is in relation to the rest of the package). Oh well.
