A couple of guys started a Kickstarter fund to create and mass produce these babies, that have a pressure sensor in the heel that automatically laces them as soon as you put your foot in. They’re trying to raise $25,000 to get the production off the ground and it seems like they are having some success. You could be seeing these on the pavement by next year.
Seems like a lot of work and money to spend on something that just ties your shoes for you, but seeing as some people spend $200 on a pair of basketball shoes, it doesn’t seem like it’d be a bad investment.
