VIDEO: Time to finally check out the new live-action ‘Resident Evil’ web series

As well as compare which fighting game has the crappier neighborhood, King of Fighters or Final Fight? AKA the latest and greatest that Machinima has to offer.

First off, as mentioned last week, there’s a brand new web series that’s taps into Capcom’s survival horror franchise. Behold episode one of Resident Evil: First Hour

Now, it’s hard to really say anything, since everything, even a show on YouTube, needs some time to build up some steam, but thus far, I dig it. Unfortunately, it’s not financed by the game’s makers, hence why the budget that was clearly apparent in Mortal Kombat: Legacy or Dragon Age: Redemption.

Hence why it’s more than clear that the entire budget for wardrobe was spent on Leon and not the other cops… at least I think they’re supposed to be cops? With all those plain, blue shirts, it’s impossible to tell. Otherwise, I dig the super slow pace, which is pretty unusual for something of its kind.

And even though the guy playing Leon doesn’t do much, I kinda dig his understated performance. Guess it’s a nice contrast to Felicia Day’s somewhat over the top “acting.” Though the guy could be a total ham, it’s too soon to tell. But thus far, it looks promising!

Moving on, the folks behind Fighterpedia have produced another clip. Episode three also deals with fighting game locales, much like in episode two. And while it too is not quite as brilliant as episode one, there’s still plenty of laughs to be had. Again, it’s nice whenever folks are super knowledgeable about video games and are also legit funny as well…
